Wyatt Banks is ready to give one woman the world. Unfortunately, his job as a cop tends to interfere with other goals. When Wyatt is sent deep undercover to investigate a sex slave ring, he doesn’t have time to do anything but focus on staying alive in a dark and dangerous underworld.
Wyatt isn’t alone though in his quest to save the women that are being sold into sexual slavery.
His partner, FBI Agent Andrea Somerville, is immersed just as deeply as he is, and she’s the bait to lure the sex slavers out into the open, as she poses as an erotic dancer in an attempt to snare the enemy. But danger runs as high as the sparks between them, and now Wyatt is caught between the job he loves and the woman he wants.
Whenever I get a new Sawyer Bennett book, I take a deep breath, close my eyes and say a silent prayer of ‘please let these be as awesome as the others before.’ The book Gods have smiled upon us all with this one my friends.
This is book number four in the Last Call series by Sawyer Bennett and I thought ‘nup – no way is this going to be better than Brodi’s story’. Can’t compare apples to oranges but this story had me reeled in and I couldn’t put it down.
I love a good mystery, action packed, strong female along with some hot lovin’ story and this ticked all those boxes. The chemistry between Wyatt and Andrea is off the charts. The things they do both for the name of their job and what they do after made me smile.
Wyatt has intrigued me from his snippets while appearing in the other books in this series and was surprised but glad to hear that he was getting his own. It’s funny that Bennett’s men hold more interest for me than the women and I don’t just mean in the fantasy sense. They are strong without being overbearing. They are hard-working – well, who wants a bum? When they know they have found someone they want – they go for it.
This story is original, sexy and gripping and the romance is divine. When all the chaos ends and they can finally be together, you are only halfway through the story. I’d felt like I’d run a 10km and still had more to go. I was doing my little happy dance to think I was getting two stories in one.
