Series: The Beat and the Pulse, book #3.5
Genre: contemporary romance
Renee “Ren” Miller finally has everything she ever dreamed of.
For the first time in her life, everything is perfect and she doesn’t want to change a thing.
Ash “Maverick” Fuller can’t help but feel that something is missing from his life, even with the woman he loves by his side.
His business is flourishing, his woman is content and he should be happy too right? Wrong.
Ren can sense something isn’t right and tries to reach out. Secrets are a deal breaker and if she can’t get through to him, it might just be thing that tears their perfect little world apart.
Ash would do anything to protect her from harm, but sometimes even the people you love the most have secrets and shame that they want to bury forever.
This time, trust mightn’t be enough.
We are back with Ren and Ash and OMG – things are getting serious. Just when I thought they were headed for the big wedding and the floofy dress – of course not! The one thing I have grown to love about this series is that the unpredictable predictability. Each book in this series has a change of pace but I know the characters are going to work through their troubles and come out the other side, stronger.
There’s a lot of hurt, a lot of resentment and a lot of fear going on in this book. Both character’s have their fears triggered and react in with the only way they know how and it almost costs them dearly.
It’s so hard to talk about this story without doing spoilers but you can be assured, this is a tale that moves the story forward and I’m hanging for the next instalment.
I received a copy of this book for my honest opinion but I have purchased a paperback copy to round out my collection.
