Once again, Sorensen has suckered me into finding out what happens to these characters. I have NO affliction or feeling for them yet, I simply have to know how they dig themselves out of the proverbial shit hole they have put themselves into.
I struggle with reading about toxic relationships. It angers up the blood as to how people accept and tolerate certain behaviour in the name of love. I get that they have inner demons and it certainly adds for conflict but when you end up hating the character and thinking ‘oh god honey – you have got to let it go!’ I start to question ‘am I ever going to get these hours back?’
But I’m not quitter and I was spurred on by Jessica’s writing to see this through – I’m glad I did. Got to see a glimmer of redemption in all the characters, the intervention is just … raw. To top it off – the ending to know that another two characters are on their way to a HEA.
Keen for next in the series
