Logan finally has everything he ever wanted. Now that the threat to Brooke’s safety is behind them, all he wants is to live out the rest of his days with the woman of his dreams. Unfortunately, we don’t always get what we want. He has no idea that over the next few years they will face their toughest challenges yet. Will their love for each other be strong enough to survive what lies ahead? Or will their fairy-tale finally come to an end?
Join Brooke and Logan in the final and dramatic conclusion to the Destiny series.
Wow, I didn’t know what was in store following on from My Destiny but this book is full of delicious drama and many things I didn’t see coming (love that from a book – yes things are allowed to be predictable but then when my prediction is twisted to make me go ‘ohhhhhhhh!’ LOVE THAT!)
What’s meant to be a happy time following their marriage – turns out to be anything but. Brooke is concerned about one of her students and this is where we meet Jacinta (the following book). Having experienced first-hand, the devastation of domestic abuse, Brooke is on a mission to ensure she does what she can.
Logan is frustratingly delicious. He’s super protective (and rightly so) and he learns that he can’t fix everything for her. This is a whirlwind of a story that had me saying ‘No no no no no’ and texting the author saying ‘Not (name not inserted for spoiler reasons!?!) Highly recommend this series. I was reading thinking, this is not going to end well but JL was able to make my heart sing. One of the themes is hard hitting for me and JL has written all the themes with grace and respect.
JL is really starting to hit her stride with this series. Again, she plays a lot of themes – domestic violence, sexual abuse claims, dementia patients, death, depression and unconditional love. The beauty of her craft is that none of it seems forced and the storyline flows beautifully.
I bought a copy of this book with my own money.
