Luckiest Bastard by JL Perry
Series: Bastard, novella sequel
Genre: contemporary romance
It’s been two years since reformed bastard Carter, and his treasured wife, Indiana, had their happy-ever-after in the #1 bestselling Bastard.
Two years and two children after their happy ending in Bastard, Carter and Indiana have settled into married life after their tumultuous pasts. But, a shocking event will threaten everything they hold dear.
Wow, if you think this is going to be a recount, some fluff piece to tag onto the original story, you are mistaken. Perry manages again to reach into your chest and give your heart a squeeze. The rollercoaster of emotions will have you feeling wrung out by the end of it.
Indie and Carter as such relatable characters that I think readers will be constantly calling for more, and rightly so. Your heart will be in your throat. The smile will be wide on your face and I think all readers will truly enjoy this read. My only complaint. Too short but Perry wraps it up beautifully.
I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion. Getting this book for free did not sway my opinion in any way.
