WARNING: **this does come with a warning that it’s to be read after Breaking Kate**
This novella is from Michael’s view point in the Kate, Daniel and Michael love triangle. I found it very jumpy through time spans but thankfully, having reading Breaking Kate, it all made sense.
I kinda had an understanding and a bit of compassion for Michael and his character through Breaking Kate – but now, reading this, he’s a douche. He’s self-centered, emotionally bankrupt, ego driven, ‘little bitch syndrome’ and I found myself thinking ‘HA! I hope you get what’s coming to you!”
This series is a very good reminder of ‘you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone’ and that sometimes, not getting what you think you want is actually a huge blessing. I really didn’t like Michael and for me to get my hackles up during a book, the author has done a good job. I’m really pulling for Daniel – oh GOD how badly I want Daniel to ‘win’! I’m really looking forward to Releasing Kate to see how this love triangle continues.
