No matter how hard I’ve tried to let go of Mister Black, the memories of us together torture me. They’re an unforgettable reminder of a life I can’t have for many reasons.
Burying myself in work mostly keeps thoughts of him to a screaming minimum, until he’s thrust into my life under circumstances beyond my control. Despite my need for his protection, this time I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to survive with my heart intact.
He is Black: a fierce protector and irresistible charmer.
I am Red: a trouble magnet and rainbow weaver.
Together we ignite. Explosive colors merging at the hottest melting point.
I have been making no secret about my desire to have this book and it surpassed my expectation. This is book three and they need to be read in order or you are going to be wondering what the hell is going on!
I’m so glad Talia is still the strong minded woman she has been portrayed to be. Sometimes, the women suddenly lose their heads and become annoyingly weak. So relieved she hasn’t. If anything, she’s become even more defiant and strong minded.
What I really liked about this story is that they each had to go and confront the things that set them on their journeys that made their paths cross. Little did they know – they were connected long before they met.
The way this story weaves and the web exposed is genius! Some of the questions I had from both book one and two are now answered. This book has it all – drama – tension – blistering hot sex scenes but like I said – the winner for me in this one is the growth in the characters.
Black is able to repair his relationship with his father while setting his step-mother straight. He is finally able to know his past and even before they met, he and Talia were connected. He now knows the truth behind his mother’s murder and he is able to feel like he can be enough for Talia.
There are so many Easter eggs to enjoy throughout this story. The pen name – love it. The horrific truth of what happened to Talia and how the crazy doesn’t fall far from the tree.
I’m saddened when all great things come to an end but I’m hopefully one of the many that have our fingers crossed even for a novella so we can keep up to date on how Black and Talia are going – they have waited for many years to get their happy ending. We have been with them through the dark, the bad, the good and now the rainbows. I wanna see more rainbows for these two.
