After ruining the best relationship he has ever had, Elliot’s life takes a turn for the worse and he isn’t happy with who he’s become.
Deciding to spend three months in the UK on a working visa, in a bid to find himself again, he boards a plane to London. During the flight he meets Paige, a fellow Aussie with a closed heart and a lot to hide.
The closer he gets to Paige the more he’s sure that she’s hiding something. Will it be enough to send him running? Or does he love her enough to fight this time?
I was hoping Elliot was going to get his own story and with the heartache that Paige endured during Phoenix, I was hanging for their happy ever after. I was team Elliot all the way from A Beautiful Struggle till he did the douchetard move. I know he’s not a bad guy, just didn’t have the balls to stand on his own two feet.
This is a really hard review to write without giving too much away – but in typical Lilliana fashion – she had me feeling the range of emotions from gushing to jaw dropping moments.
I didn’t expect the things that happened in this story. I love Elliot’s tenacity when it came to gently earning Paige’s trust while still allowing her the space she obviously needed. This was the first time, anyone has shown her unconditional love – only took her 25 years to get it. I was hoping for a bigger interaction with Paige’s mother and father.
There are so many beautiful and tender moments while the story is laced with more heartache and disappointment. I’m so glad Paige gets the happy ever after she deserves. Can’t wait to read the next in the series.
I bought a copy of this book with my own money.
